London, UK – 17th September 2021 – Skinny Lister’s electric guitarist and multi-instrumentalist, Sam Brace makes a major departure from the Skinny sound with an epic take on the apocalypse and loose comment on the current state of the world. Launching through California based Stay Free Recordings on limited edition 7” Vinyl with two colour runs, Panic sees Brace step out on his own for the first time as a solo artist.
This is something I’ve been wanting to do for years but just never had the time to sit down and actually make it happen” commented Brace, “The process has been liberating and I’m absolutely thrilled to be able to get back to making music which I truly resonate with, although it has been endlessly fun running with Skinny for all these years, my influences are very much more on the David Bowie, Arcade Fire, Kate Bush, Elliot Smith and Radiohead side of things which I hope you’ll hear sprinkles of in the record. A full 11 track album is finished and I just can’t wait to release it!”
After spending most of the last 10 years on the road playing major festivals, headline world tours, as well as supporting the likes of Frank Turner and the Sleeping Souls, Dropkick Murphys, Flogging Molly and Chuck Ragan with Skinny Lister, Brace was ready for a break, and as Covid struck in early 2020, he was able to finally start work on writing a solo record.
Brace continued: “The songs have all been written and recorded by myself with my old mate co-writer, Adam Tarry who I used to be in bands with at school back in the day, at the start of lockdown one quite out of the blue, he sent over a video of him playing a Longpigs track and we got to talking about doing some originals together, he sent me a very basic verse and chorus which, over the course of the next couple of weeks, I turned into a fully formed, Panic. We’ve continued to work together and now have 11 tracks finished and ready to release later this year or early 2022.”

We could all do with a laugh right now, which is why we’re holding our first Comedy Fest this autumn – packed with stars of TV and some of the best stand-ups touring the UK right now.
Altered Feast, Norwich’s favourite alternative comedy cabaret night, takes over The Garage with Clutterbuck’s Comedy Club (1 October). Organised and hosted by Tom Clutterbuck, Altered Feast ran at The Birdcage for five years before moving to Norwich Arts Centre in 2021. Expect the witty, the weird and the wonderful.
Previous acts include Rachel Parris (The Mash Report), Garrett Millerick (Conan O’Brien), Bec Hill (8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown), Alasdair Beckett-King (Mock the Week), Athena Kugblenu (Sketchtopia) and many more.
Britain’s Got Talent star Jonny Awsum is Coming to Town (7 October). Shooting to fame with his performances of This Is A Musical with Ant and Dec and The Triangle Song with David Walliams, his performances have been watched more than 50million times online. He’s gone on to enjoy a sell-out five-star run at the Edinburgh Fringe and supported Lost Voice Guy and Tape Face on their UK tours.
Spend an evening with some of the best stand-ups touring the UK at the Comedy Club Night (22 October).
The impishly sarcastic Dana Alexander draws from her diverse lifestyle, her gay friends and her crazy Jamaican family. Gary Tro is known for his off-centre
observations and hilarious audience chat. Keith Farnan goes where other comics don’t, placing him in the lead of investigative comedians. You may’ve seen him on BBC shows Most Annoying People, One Night Stand and Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow. Javier Jarquin is a circuit regular and performed on the same bill as the likes of Jimmy Carr, Stewart Lee, Jo Brand and Paul Daniels.
Run Wild! (23 October, 2pm) is the first of two shows from the stars of Britain’s Got Talent and The One Show – The Noise Next Door. Take control of this family-friend performance full of songs, scenes and gags where anything can happen. The quartet return for In Charge (23 October, 8pm), their sixth national tour of finely tuned anarchy where you’re, once again, in charge. The Noise Next Door are 12 time sell-out veterans of The Edinburgh Fringe, appeared on various TV shows and alongside the likes of Michael McIntyre, Katherine Ryan, Romesh Ranganathan and Harry Hill.
Comedian Carl Hutchinson (26 October) returns with a new show after two consecutive sell-out years. Expect captivating stories, observations and audience interaction from what critics call a “joyously funny” and “an all-round comic”.
He’s cooked gourmet food using hotel room appliances and tools from his shed. In Movable Feast (6 November) George Egg turns his attention to stuff you’d find on planes, trains and automob-meals.
Rifle through all the noise and self-promotion of modern life with comedian Jayde Adams’ The Ballad of Kylie Jenner’s Old Face (19 November). The Snackmasters and Crazy Delicious host was recently seen learning how to sing opera before performing live in front of the whole nation for Comic Relief. Her first stand-up special on Amazon was critically acclaimed, amassed 60million views across social media and was longlisted for the Best Variety Special Emmy in the Hollywood Reporter Predictions.
Carrie Mansfield, The Garage’s Executive Producer, said: “We could all use a laugh right now. What better way to put a smile back on everyone’s faces than by staging our first ever Comedy Fest. It’s a fantastic line-up featuring faces from TV and some of the best stand-ups currently touring the UK comedy circuit. It’s all part of our packed performance programme, which we can’t wait to finally share with audiences this autumn.”
Looking ahead to next year, Steve Bugeja Tried To Start His Own Nickname (17 June, 2022) features one of comedy’s most exciting rising stars. You may have heard him hosting BBC Radio 4’s Economics with Subtitles or seen him on TV shows like The Russell Howard Hour, Love Island: Aftersun and Russell Howard’s Stand Up Central. He’s also a prolific writer, co-creating new ITV sitcom Buffering with Ian Stirling and contributing to shows like Stirling’s Celebability, Mock the Week and 8 Out of 10 Cats.
